~~Dinner at Tony Roma's~~

It has been about two months I never update my blog. Huhu.. What am I busy with? I really don’t have idea with that.

Past few days Syafiah came down KL to start her new work as a facilitator. Since she is here in KL, so I decided to hang out with her on Monday night as I’m afraid both of us don’t have the chance to meet each other.

Syafiah planned to meet at Bukit Bintang as she will overnight with her cousin at don’t know which hotel nearby here. As planned, meet at BB after I finish work. So that day I left office bout 6.15pm and off to BB, is less than half hour to reach there. There’s no traffic along the way. Great!

Meet Syafiah at Maybank, and then have a small discussion there. As usual, we had problem to choose what to have for dinner as both of us so hungry. After the long talk, we choose to go Pavillion food court as both of us never been to Pavillion before. Hehe..

When at the food court, Syafiah and I were discussing, what should we have for dinner. While we were walking and thinking, suddenly I saw Tony Roma’s. Hmmm… I promise want to treat Syafiah, so I better treat her Tony Romas’s better than Coffee Bean.

After our dinner, we continue our journey for dessert. That was a long journey as Syafiah wanted to find coffee bean in Sungei Wang.

My New Watches…

I just bought TWO new SWATCH watch. Hehe.. I bought it from my mum fashion business shop that she currently works. It only cost RM?? per watch. Isn’t it worth of money?

At first I thought is fake watch, but later my sis went to Swatch shop and change the battery, the sales guy told her the watch is original. Although the design of the watches are few years back, but is so cheap and it look nice to me. Thus, I decided to buy 2 because is only RM ???. I think I can’t get a watch in any Swatch shop with that amount of money.

Congratulation...

Congratulation Miss Ain Syakirin Hanaffi!!

Congrats to the lady that had successfully gone through her engagement ceremony yesterday. Feel so happy when the moment the ring is on her finger.

I think if I am not mistaken, the wedding will held one year from now or the latest will be one year and one month.

Kirin looks so elegant with her dress. The one month sewing of those labuci, really made her look so beautiful with such wonderful dress.

To a very special couple

Who make a perfect pair

This brings a wish for happiness

In the future you will share

Happy 24th Birthday...

It’s my 24th birthday on 1st August 2009. Hehe..

Basically everyone must be wondering how I celebrate my birthday on the day. Early morning I woke up to take my grandma for her yearly medical check up. Then I went straight to my 3rd aunt house to prepare the family gathering lunch. I will post the family gathering blog soon as I am waiting for those pictures.

Just love this year birthday, as my cousin Sue Xian that have same day birthday with me was back to Malaysia this year. As the family gathering was held the same day on our birthday, of course we receive lots of wishes and presents.
Thanks to all that wishes me. As Nadiah had mentioned, the thought that counts. I receive lots of angpau from my relatives, I just like it so much as I think that will be the best birthday presents. Wow! The angpau money was unbelievable amount as I think I can use that to buy a new handphone such as mine. Haha.. My mum was asking me to treat them but then she said is better for me to change my little kancil tyre. That’s a really good idea. Hehe..

This is the birthday card I receive. Soon I will enlarge the photo of the birthday card draw by my cousins.

At 5.00pm, I work in clinic as usual but we had a small party to celebrate August nurses birthday. That will be me, Cheryl (2 Aug) and Carmen (23 Aug). There was lots of food that they prepare; the main dishes: sambal udang, kari kambing, salad, rendang ayam and fried mihun.

The dessert: lychee jelly, nangka jelly, fruit cake and tiramisu ice-cream. Such lots of food, right? There were only six of us that will eat the food. Haha..

I am SICK!!

I am having diarrhoea since last night. The symptoms that I had included vomiting, urgency go to the toilet, frequent passing of loose (watery) and nausea. I don’t have appetite to eat. Whenever I eat, I sure feel like vomit. I also experience fever last night, feeling so cold and suddenly feel so hot. I hate my situation now. Woke up 4am just to go toilet, can’t sleep well. I just took medicine but I think I need to go clinic later. Need to seek permission from lady boss (Helena) to clinic. :(

Volunteer for Shape& Men’s Health Night Run 2009

The event was held on 25 July 2009 (Saturday) at Precint 3, Putrajaya, in front of Komplek Perbadanan Putrajaya. The run was organized by Twenty First Century Sports. Thanks to them for letting we join their volunteer team.

The run starts at 8.00pm but we need to reach there before 6.30pm. As my sis afraid we will get lost, we leave home quite early and reach there around 5.00pm. That’s like very earlier, even their staff said we are earlier and he praised us for being discipline. :)

We were placed in baggage center. Our task basically just helps to look after the runners’ baggage. They will pass us their bag and we will give them a small card and jot down their bib number. Isn’t that easy? Hehe..

Around 9.45pm, most of the runners had reached the ending point. Then, their will collect their goodies bag and 1901 hotdog. For those who leave their bag in the baggage center, their will collect it by return the small card back to us.

While waiting for the runners, suddenly the head of the volunteer team asked my brother and me help to give out the goodies bag. Wow! The crowd was like in the market. Everyone was shouting here and there. I heard the goodies bag was worth RM300, but I am not really too sure as I didn’t really look into the bag.

Our jobs end around 10.30pm, we collect our pay. Horayy!! Each of us got RM30 and 1901 hotdog and mineral water. Is cool! I like this run as the organizer treat us well and the event was at night that not sunny.

MENGO Green Hunt

I think I should post this blog long ago, but I just received those pictures lately from my bee, that’s why a bit delays.

MENGO Green Hunt was held 27 June 2009 (Saturday) around Klang Valley by using public transport such as LRT and Monorail. It was organize by Malaysian Environmental NGOs. There were four of us in a group; Kirin, Sam (substitute of Anis and Abg War), my Bee and me.

All of us don’t have any experience for any treasure hunt, we joined just to have fun and gain experience. Hehe..

Early morning about 9.00am we need to take LRT from Taman Jaya station to Sentral. In between that few stations, we have few clues and we need to find the answer for each clue. We had difficulties to find the answer as the question very challenging.

Example of question: Internal search for hijacker in China.
Can you all guess the answer? Answer: Hijacker in China = kerinchi

The journey continues from Sentral to Dang Wangi, then walk to Bukit Nanas Monorail station. Then travel from Bukit Nanas Monorail station to Kl Sentral Monorail station. Lastly, we walk to MGS Primary school in brickfields.

Beside answer that challenging question, we need to find few things such as recycle item (bottle/paper) and Sabah tea. We did not manage to get the Sabah tea as we can’t find it.

The hunt ended around 12.30 pm, we reach there 3 minutes late. Actually is not our fault, is that we do not know where should we go and report with when reach the ending point.

We really had fun in this treasure hunt. Although we need to walk much and sweats a lot but the experience and joyfulness does count.

Mohammed Michael Jackson Give Thanks To Allah...

I found this interesting song / video from youtube link.

Mohammed Michael Jackson Give Thanks To Allah

7 Don't After A Meal...

1. Don’t smoke
Experiments by experts have proved that smoking a cigarette after a meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes so your chances of cancer are higher.

2. Don’t eat fruits immediately
Consuming fruits immediately will cause your stomach to be bloated with air. Take fruits one to two hours after, or an hour before your meal.

3. Don’t drink tea
Tea leaves contain a high acidic content causing the protein that we consume to be hardened, and thus difficult to digest.

4. Don’t loosen your belt
Loosening the belt after a meal will cause the intestine to be easily twisted and blocked.

5. Don’t bathe
Bathing cause the increase of blood flow to hands and legs. As such, the amount of blood around the stomach will decrease, weakening the digestive system.

6. Don’t walk about
It is alleged that if you walk a hundred steps after a meal, you will live until 99. In actual fact, walking causes the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we eat.

7. Don’t sleep immediately
The food will not be able to digest properly, and may lead to gastric and infection of the intestines.

Farewell Dinner..

Last Wednesday (8 July 2009), we had farewell dinner for En. Azhar (HR manager and legal advisor). He will leave the company for certain reason.

Public Speaking / Presentation...

Last Tuesday (7 July 2009) was the day of my presentation to 50 distributors in Nikko Hotel. The session should be around 150 distributors but only 50 that turned up. No matter how many people will turn up that day, I will definitely nervous and scared.

The stage of presentation.

The seating for VIPs and audience.

I had to wear jacket (blazer) to present as that will be a formal event. So I went and search it on Sunday with my Bee. I bought the jacket and pants in Isetan Lot 10. My mum said is cheap for a complete suit for RM 218. Since she gives green light for that price, so I bought Padini jacket and pants.

My presentation was about 9.45am. I start to shiver when the VIP gave their speech. Their speech were so short, it makes me even nervous. After 10 minutes, it is my turn to start my presentation. Basically, I need to show them a slide of presentation and demo to them how to use the system. When I was holding the laser pointing pen to point on the slide, my colleagues told me that I was really shivering as the pointer on the LCD screen was up, down, left, right that not static at a point. Haha..

I think my presentation was about 15 minutes, really such a quick demo. Actually I had prepared the text for my presentation, but as usual, I didn’t even look on that script of paper. Mr. Gary (My Boss) wasn’t there when I was presenting. After the event end only I saw him there. I thought he didn’t listen to my presentation but when I reached office, he said he listen my presentation from the phone when he called Mr. Chew. Hmmm.. He did advice me few things when anyone do public speaking or presentation.

A Presenter:
1. Create atmosphere.
2. Know how to cover mistake.
3. Talk confidently (Hold the principle: Assuming the audience does not know anything).
4. Tone voice (Raise your voice when highlight issue that is important).
5. Best presentation will be natural (From heart not mouth).
6. Don’t make presentation bored, give some jokes.
7. When finish, says thank you and have confident on yourselves – I did a good job!

McDonald's Olympic Day Run...

McDonald's Olympic Day Run was held on 12 July 2009 (Sunday) at Dataran Merdeka.

There are 10 categories for the 7km run. As my sis and me is above 18 years old, so both of us under category B (Women’s Open) while my brother is under category A (Men’s Open). The qualifying time for the run is 70 minutes. The entry fee is RM10.00 for each runner. Each runner receives T-shirt, numbers and McDonald breakfast (Sausage McMuffin with any menu item purchased) voucher.

The T-Shirt of the run.

The crowd before the run when all waiting at the starting point.

The starting time for the run was 7.30 sharp. Wow! Is such a challenging run as I think the last run was like when I was in secondary school (6 years back)? Hehe.. I think is not really a run for me, is more like walkathon as I walk and walk then run continue by walking and walking.

I manage to finish the run in 80 minutes.

Although it passes the qualifying time but I still get certificate. My sister finish in 70 minutes while my brother in 45 minutes. I knew I will be the last as I am not a runner since school days. My brother told us that the run actually just 6.3km because he uses his hand phone to check the distance while his running. I am proud of myself as I mange to finish the run.

The certificate.
