7 Don't After A Meal...

1. Don’t smoke
Experiments by experts have proved that smoking a cigarette after a meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes so your chances of cancer are higher.

2. Don’t eat fruits immediately
Consuming fruits immediately will cause your stomach to be bloated with air. Take fruits one to two hours after, or an hour before your meal.

3. Don’t drink tea
Tea leaves contain a high acidic content causing the protein that we consume to be hardened, and thus difficult to digest.

4. Don’t loosen your belt
Loosening the belt after a meal will cause the intestine to be easily twisted and blocked.

5. Don’t bathe
Bathing cause the increase of blood flow to hands and legs. As such, the amount of blood around the stomach will decrease, weakening the digestive system.

6. Don’t walk about
It is alleged that if you walk a hundred steps after a meal, you will live until 99. In actual fact, walking causes the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we eat.

7. Don’t sleep immediately
The food will not be able to digest properly, and may lead to gastric and infection of the intestines.

Public Speaking / Presentation...

Last Tuesday (7 July 2009) was the day of my presentation to 50 distributors in Nikko Hotel. The session should be around 150 distributors but only 50 that turned up. No matter how many people will turn up that day, I will definitely nervous and scared.

The stage of presentation.

The seating for VIPs and audience.

I had to wear jacket (blazer) to present as that will be a formal event. So I went and search it on Sunday with my Bee. I bought the jacket and pants in Isetan Lot 10. My mum said is cheap for a complete suit for RM 218. Since she gives green light for that price, so I bought Padini jacket and pants.

My presentation was about 9.45am. I start to shiver when the VIP gave their speech. Their speech were so short, it makes me even nervous. After 10 minutes, it is my turn to start my presentation. Basically, I need to show them a slide of presentation and demo to them how to use the system. When I was holding the laser pointing pen to point on the slide, my colleagues told me that I was really shivering as the pointer on the LCD screen was up, down, left, right that not static at a point. Haha..

I think my presentation was about 15 minutes, really such a quick demo. Actually I had prepared the text for my presentation, but as usual, I didn’t even look on that script of paper. Mr. Gary (My Boss) wasn’t there when I was presenting. After the event end only I saw him there. I thought he didn’t listen to my presentation but when I reached office, he said he listen my presentation from the phone when he called Mr. Chew. Hmmm.. He did advice me few things when anyone do public speaking or presentation.

A Presenter:
1. Create atmosphere.
2. Know how to cover mistake.
3. Talk confidently (Hold the principle: Assuming the audience does not know anything).
4. Tone voice (Raise your voice when highlight issue that is important).
5. Best presentation will be natural (From heart not mouth).
6. Don’t make presentation bored, give some jokes.
7. When finish, says thank you and have confident on yourselves – I did a good job!

McDonald's Olympic Day Run...

McDonald's Olympic Day Run was held on 12 July 2009 (Sunday) at Dataran Merdeka.

There are 10 categories for the 7km run. As my sis and me is above 18 years old, so both of us under category B (Women’s Open) while my brother is under category A (Men’s Open). The qualifying time for the run is 70 minutes. The entry fee is RM10.00 for each runner. Each runner receives T-shirt, numbers and McDonald breakfast (Sausage McMuffin with any menu item purchased) voucher.

The T-Shirt of the run.

The crowd before the run when all waiting at the starting point.

The starting time for the run was 7.30 sharp. Wow! Is such a challenging run as I think the last run was like when I was in secondary school (6 years back)? Hehe.. I think is not really a run for me, is more like walkathon as I walk and walk then run continue by walking and walking.

I manage to finish the run in 80 minutes.

Although it passes the qualifying time but I still get certificate. My sister finish in 70 minutes while my brother in 45 minutes. I knew I will be the last as I am not a runner since school days. My brother told us that the run actually just 6.3km because he uses his hand phone to check the distance while his running. I am proud of myself as I mange to finish the run.

The certificate.

Start Do Exercise…

Since my weight keep on increase nowadays, I think I should do exercise. Maybe just light exercise will do. My sis and I were planning to play badminton or jogging when we back home after work. Unfortunately, we only can do exercise 4 hours before or after meal.

Thus, yesterday I had climbed the stairs back my home instead of taking the lift. I think by climbing the stairs is consider exercise because I still need to carry my laptop and carry my heavy handbag. I just feel like I look like Muten Roshi (Dragon Ball) when carry the laptop. By the way, my house is at 10th floor, so is considered high. Hehe..
